As a developmental psychologist, Dr. Tamara Spiewak Toub collaborates with educators, museum exhibit designers, and organizations serving families with young children to translate research from the learning and developmental sciences into application in children’s lives.  After earning her bachelor’s degree at Harvard University and her Ph.D. at the University of Washington, Dr. Toub completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek at Temple University, where she worked on the design and implementation of activities to support language and STEM learning in preschool classrooms.  She continues her involvement in Temple research projects as a Research Area Expert.  Her background in Executive Function (EF) has included research on how pretend play facilitates EF, as well as expertise in the development and support of EF, more broadly.  Dr. Toub leads the design and delivery of professional development services at Reflection Sciences.
